Summer DanceFest Choreography Showcase
Idaho Dance Theatre invites you to join us for the culminating performances of Summer DanceFest 2026.
-
For over 35 years, DanceFest has brought together dancers from across Idaho and the region for an immersive two-week intensive focused on artistic growth, collaboration, and performance. This year's workshop welcomed a talented group of students ranging from dedicated young dancers to adults continuing their dance journey, all working alongside an exceptional faculty of professional artists and educators.
The workshop culminates in three performances featuring original choreography created by DanceFest faculty and performed by the workshop participants. Audiences will experience a diverse evening of dance reflecting the many styles explored throughout the intensive, including ballet, pointe, partnering, contemporary, musical theatre, and jazz.

For more than a generation, Idaho Dance Theatre has stood as a pillar of creativity, discipline, and community—a place where dancers are not only trained, but truly transformed. As the oldest contemporary dance company in Idaho, our story is woven into the cultural fabric of this state. We have nurtured hundreds of dancers who now carry the spirit of Idaho's artistry into professional companies, classrooms, and creative spaces all across the world.
But our legacy is not just history—it is a living, breathing, evolving force. Every class, every rehearsal, every performance is an act of devotion to the future of dance. We exist to uplift the next wave of artists, to cultivate excellence, and to keep the arts thriving in a world that needs expression, connection, and beauty more than ever.
Today, we are calling on our community—on you—to help us continue this vital work.
Your support directly fuels opportunities for dancers of all ages and abilities to train in an environment defined by integrity, accessibility, and artistic freedom. It enables us to offer scholarships, expand programming, collaborate with local schools, and bring innovative performances to life. It also helps keep ticket prices accessible, opening our work to audiences who might otherwise be unable to attend. Thanks to this collective investment, dance in Idaho is not only preserved, but celebrated—and local artists can continue their valuable work while remaining able to afford living in Boise and the Treasure Valley.
We cannot do this alone.
We need partners who believe in the power of movement to shape lives, build confidence, and inspire change.
Whether through a donation, sponsorship, volunteer involvement, or simply sharing our mission with others, your action makes a difference. Together, we can continue to enrich the cultural landscape of Idaho—and empower the next generation of dancers to step boldly into their potential.
Thank you for standing with us, believing in the arts, and supporting a legacy that continues to ripple far beyond the stage.
With gratitude and hope,
Idaho Dance Theatre
