Auditions

Idaho Dance Theatre is currently accepting video applications for male and female dancers for its 2012-2013 season. We offer paid positions requiring 16 hours of rehearsal a week from late August until April 2013.  We perform Boise concerts in the fall, winter, and spring plus occasional touring.    We also do an elementary school show throughout the season. Our repertory is contemporary.  We are looking for dancers with excellent technique, strong partnering skills, and natural movers.  A daily ballet class and yoga classes are offered as well as physical therapy if needed. Idaho Dance Theatre's company includes paid dancers and unpaid apprentices, both male and female. Dancers are contracted for 30 weeks of part-time work (approximately 16 hours per week) annually. There are 3 main-stage concerts per season (12 performances), as well as numerous school shows performed throughout the area.   Touring is done regionally as well.  IDT is a contemporary performing company.
