Important Show Information

Idaho Dance Theatre performs in Boise at the BSU Special Events Center. The SPEC as it's called is attached to the Student Union Building - the west end of the building. Parking is either in the lot outside the SPEC for $5 per car - or in the Lincoln Garage by the hour (remember your space number and pay at the machines - several throughout the garage). The show lasts approximately 2 hours.

Show times are as follows:

Thursday 7pm (Preview Night)

Friday 8pm (Opening Night)

Saturday 8pm

Sunday 2pm

From the Artistic Directors

Our 23rd season is just beginning and we are looking forward to our best season yet! Our upcoming season will be full of surprises and guest artists. Our Fall Performance will be in early November, followed by our Winter concert in late January and Gala in March, and our Spring show in mid-April. We anticipate several performances of our school show at several local schools throughout the season as well as a special public performance at the Festival of Trees in November. Season tickets are available now at a 5% discount. Reserve your seat online and print your tickets at home!

We believe as firmly as ever that live performing art provides a community with a rich cultural and social experience that no electronic grid can duplicate. We participated in Octoberfest at Centurylink Arena last month and enjoy getting out in the community every chance we get.

We are proud to be part of Boise's cultural scene, and we are equally proud of the role we have played in creating it. After 22 seasons, we still strive to bring the best in contemporary dance to the stage with challenging, athletic movement and innovative choreography. We are proud to announce our newest venture - Focus Dance Ensemble - our pre-professional performing company beginning this Fall. This company will give young dedicated dancers the opportunity to take the next step in their dance career. This pre-professional dance opportunity will allow dancers to experience the training and rehearsal of a professional company with 2 season performances and the opportunity to work with Idaho Dance Theatre professional dancers and artistic directors. We are excited about presenting this opportunity to the Treasure Valley!
